Sallyanne Johnson

I got the privilege to interview Sallyanne Johnson and let me tell you it has been a great opportunity in doing that. So let's get into it and get to know more about Sallyanne's writing, books and more.

Me: What's your best advice for someone who wants to publish their books?

Sallyanne: Firstly, take a breath and go for it. It takes a lot of courage to put something out there that you've written, but you've come this far. Invest time and money in looking for and getting a good editor, proof reader and cover designer. You've poured your heart and soul into your book so you want it to be in the best possible shape for when you unleash it on the world.

Me: When did you consider yourself a writer?

Sallyanne: I've released three books with a fourth due very soon and another next spring. I am a writer, clearly, but I would never go around and calling myself that. Maybe it's because writing has been part of my life so long, it's just who I am.

Me: What comes first the character, or plot?

Sallyanne: My characters always come first. I'll often see someone and think they'd make a good character  and then if the ideas start pinging, I know I need to run with it.

Me: Where do you draw Inspiration from?

Sallyanne: Anywhere and everywhere, tv, news articles and events that have happened to people in real life

Me: What was the hardest scene you had to write and why?

Sallyanne: The prologue at the start of my new release, Out of Bounds, was quite difficult to write. It covers traumatic events in both MC's lives, which turn their worlds upside down.

Me: Are you working on anything now that you would like readers to watch out for?

Sallyanne: My next book Out of Bounds released on 29 of October. It's the first book in a steamy contemporary romance, two book series. It's available on Amazon and free on Kindle Unlimited.
